WINDSOR LIVE! re-imagines Shakespeare’s hilarious farce as a contemporary reality TV competition in the mold of AMERICAN IDOL, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE?, and PROJECT RUNWAY. All the classic characters are here: the larger-than-life Falstaff, the wily and beautiful Anne Page, the dim-witted Slender, and of course the Merry Wives themselves. Instead of trying to outdo each other at singing, dancing, or designing clothes, the contestants in WINDSOR LIVE! compete to pull the greatest prank. Employing love triangles, volcanic jealousies, and ridiculous disguises, WINDSOR LIVE! incorporates scenes from Shakespeare’s play, packaging the main characters, central plot-lines, and celebrated language into an accessible, multi-media format.
